Lemons and Mediterranean Delights |
Greece is located in southeastern
Europe, extending into the Mediterranean Sea east of Italy. Prized as a
vacation destination, it is comprised of a mainland and many beautiful
islands inviting bathers to luxuriate on sunny beaches. You can tour the
ruins of ancient civilization and sip lemonade under pomegranate and olive
trees.
Everyone who visits Greece becomes part of the extended
community. The hospitality and charm of Greece is alive with tradition,
and they warmly invite you to join in one of the familiar folk
dances.
The Greek people take great pride in their national cuisine
and have maintained its unique identify for centuries. They take credit
for originating the culinary arts and the eating experience that we call
"dining out" today.
Like many of their Mediterranean neighbors,
Greeks enjoy a hearty, healthy diet and make abundant use of lemons for
